What to expect?

An explosion of creativity and colour. Bricks of Wonder® is a visual spectacle with over 150 works of art, built from more than 2 million LEGO® bricks.

From a ceiling mural of 200,000 bricks to lifelike portraits, sculptures and meticulously crafted scenes – each piece tells its own story.

Video projections show how artist Dirk Denoyelle brings his creations to life. Want to get creative yourself? In the interactive PlayZone, you can join in and build your own fantasy world.

About Dirk Denoyelle – brilliant with bricks!

Meet Dirk Denoyelle: comedian, artist and LEGO® legend in one. This Flemish creative made the switch from engineer to performer, and became one of only a few LEGO Certified Professionals worldwide.

His creations are full of humour, detail and recognition. From world-famous faces to playful, thought-provoking scenes – his work surprises, delights and makes you think.

Technique, craftsmanship and playfulness come together in Dirk’s brilliant brick art. You may have seen him as guest judge on the popular TV show LEGO Masters.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Bricks of Wonder is suitable for everyone aged 4 and up. Kids can play, explore and join the scavenger hunt; adults enjoy LEGO®-based art, nostalgia and humour. In the PlayZone, you can build your own creations. The audio tour – narrated by Dirk – is fun for all ages.

Average visit time is about 60 minutes. You can stay as long (or short) as you like. The exhibition closes daily at 18:00.

Bricks of Wonder is located at Entrance C, next to the ANWB shop. Follow the signs in Westfield Mall. You’ll also find plenty of shops, cafés and restaurants to enjoy before or after your visit.

A timeslot lasts 30 minutes. For example, a 10:00 ticket allows entry until 10:30. Running late? No problem – you’ll be admitted when space allows.

Prefer flexibility? Choose a Flex Ticket and come any time that suits you.

 

Your tickets are always in your MijnEventim. No need to print – we scan them from your phone.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. The exhibition and PlayZone are designed to be enjoyed together – and to help protect the LEGO® artworks.

📍 Looking for childcare during your visit? Westfield Mall offers a supervised indoor play area via nanny-s.com.

No toilets in the exhibition, but Westfield Mall has over 130 facilities. The nearest is at Fresh! (next to Albert Heijn), just a few minutes’ walk. Large bags, suitcases and umbrellas are not permitted – you can store them for free at Click & Services in the Mall.
